David is an award-winning filmmaker, innovative producer, and successful change advocate. A DC native and Harvard grad, his nonfiction films tackle crucial topics like: race in local media; carceral injustice; voter polarization; and religion in politics. He embeds deep understanding of substance inside strong, moving stories.
Over decades, David has partnered with NGOs and advocates to create original media that spotlights their work, and to galvanize community engagement around their issues. His work successfully convenes and persuades viewers from divergent perspectives.
Beyond film, David is a co-founder of Canvassing Connectors, and a leader in the Coalition for a Diverse Harvard. And he’s a practicing opera librettist!
